Staff

Father Shaun Mahoney is the current director of our Newman Center and Sister Helen Victor, SSJ is the assistant director. Father Mahoney is in his third year, while Sister Helen has been assigned to the center for the past nine years! This year we're proud to welcome our permanent Deacon Tony Wagner.

Father Mahoney is a Philadelphia diocesan priest originally from the area. He is assigned here at the Newman Center as a full-time chaplain. He has been a blessing to the center both in providing the sacraments to students, but also as a prayerful model.

Sister Helen Victor is our beautiful assistant director. She is a Sister of Saint Joseph and is also originally from the Philadelphia area. She was a teacher at Christ the King parish in Northeast Philadelphia.

Deacon Anthony Wagner is from State College, PA where he worked for Penn State University. He is now a Temple University Administrator and has been assigned to the Newman Center as a permanent deacon just this August. He and his wonderful wife, Lisa are always present at Newman Center events and are great additions to the vibrancy of the center.

FOCUS

The Newman Center's newest additions are FOCUS Missionaries: Brad Stevens, Chase Pepper, Margot Capocci, and Katherine Dumais. These young and vibrant missionaries bring a refreshing aspect to living the faith on campus and witnessing Christ as a college student. We're happy to have them apart of our team and please do not hesitate to start up a conversation, they're eager to meet everyone!
